The other day I installed Deux Ex (Game of the Year Edition) in Vista Home Premium. I bought an original, unopened game CD on ebay. It installed without issues and works properly. I then installed the Deux Ex Ultra High Quality Mod Files (HDTP package) that also included the ENBseries (bloom, etc.). Those also installed with no issues and are working well. As instructed, I'm using the HDTP.exe to launch the game. I've only played a little at the first level to test whether everything seems to be working properly. It seems to be working properly.

However, when I assign a key binding, pressing that key don't produce the intended action. For a test, I assigned the letter P=Fly in both the Deux Ex Preferences (press t and type preferences > Advanced > Raw Key Bindings) and in the HDTPUser.ini file. When I press P in-game, nothing happens.

Even so, when I type "Fly" in the space you get when you press t, I can fly in-game. I have cheats enabled by adding -hax0r in the shortcut for the game.

My question is, how do I get the key bindings to work? I asked this same question on another forum, but I received no answer.

Likely becuse there blined keys (Wow my joke is lame) Well I am not sure 100% sure try re instaling your DX and HD add on for DX (I just use the old classic one)

try the manual cheat activation set deusex.jcdentonmale bcheatsenabled true

Also should not fly be in quotes?

Well cheating bad and look like it helping you not to cheat
(On TNM i don't cheat i just use ghost when i glitch or some thing breaks)

Hi All,

I haven't checked my old post in a long time, because I received no answer after I posted it. Thanks for the responses I've gotten since then.

Since my last query, I've put together a new computer running Windows 7. I haven't reinstalled Deus Ex yet in my new system. I'll get around to it soon. At that time, I'll get back to where I was to see how things work.

Until then, I hope good progress is being made on the HD textures. I like HD textures.
