Post Issues with Window.dll
I just downloaded and installed TNM for my copy of Deus Ex. I tried to run it immediately after installing it, by double-clicking on the shortcut. I got this message;

TNM.exe - Unable to Locate Component

This application has failed to start because Window.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Unfortunately, I deleted the installation files soon after the installation finished, so I'm stuck. Is there anything I can do, or do I have to re-download it again?

Do you have any other mods installed? I think that's a standard Deus Ex file, so reinstalling Deus Ex may do the trick. But... then you'll have to reinstall TNM as well, so uh... dunno.

Yes. I have Shifter and BioMod installed but that's it.

Did you uninstall another program recently, sometimes you get that error even though it's not related to the program your working on? Unfortunately dlls can get corrupted in the download process also.

However I have no better suggestion than the one Jonas mentions, i.e. reinstalling.

No, the only thing I did that was out of the ordinary was patch the game. Deus Ex, I mean, not TNM.

Oh damn, well since you have to download TNM again to install it, do that first to see if it was the cause and not Deus Ex, trying that before uninstalling and reinstalling Deus Ex may save some time.

Getting bloody games running can be frustrating at times I know.

It may be a Shifter thing - not that there's anything wrong with Shifter, but that there's often things wrong with Shifter in combination with TNM. I'm not that familiar with BioMod, but if it overwrites any of Deus Ex's files (which Shifter does but TNM does not), it's almost certainly not compatible with TNM.

I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure you'll have to download again. You actually deleted the installer and then removed it from your trash?

BioMod is essentially a modifided version of Shifter.
So whatever problems TNM has running shifter, it will have the same problems running BioMod.

Sorry Back to the Topic at hand

I presume you ran Deus Ex at least once after installing it, and before installing TNM.
If not then that might be a problem. I don't know.
Also, If it is just a Shifter Problem, Couldn't you just reinstall Deus Ex?
Perhaps reinstalling to a different Directory, and then copying the two files Shifter overwrites back into your Deusex+TNM?
If that still doesn't work, maybe copying the Window.dll file over?
I'm just guessing here.
