Really? Any idea where in the debug menu? I couldn't find it when I was looking around.

Did you look in map select?

Yep, pretty much :?

It's like Dragon is saying Vortex Nades are underpowered in TNM, and they need to be spread out 5 per level or something... and I haven't even played DX yet.

Although our version (The "benelux edition") already comes with this DLC anyways for 40 euro. I wait for less, seeing the amount of games still waiting for my attention :P

While it may make sense from a gameplay perspective (and indeed does in a vortex grenade perspective too), it makes less sense in a realism sense when applied to a fucking crossbow. I mean, if something as simple as a crossbow was eminently capable of one-shotting heavily armoured peeps when even a gihungous sniper rifle was having trouble...then:

A) everyone and his uncle would be using one, and as a consequence
B) there would be more ammo around for the thing

The pistol is over powered in DX HR. If you want stealth headshot kills, it's the best weapon. You get both the explosive rounds and silencer mod in the same area (Detroit) right after the first mission, and with that, you headshot anything in 1 hit (Silencer, is.. well, quiet. And Explosive rounds ignore armor. Including the Heavy's plated helmet).

A good crossbow should also be able to launch projectiles that aren't designated crossbow-fit...like steakknives.

Anyway, it's clearly there to pay homage to the minicrossbow from the first game.
And yes, crossbows probably don't pierce much. An m16, which will probably be outperformed by a sniper rifle when it comes to kinetic energy, has about 8 times the kinetic energy this has:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5nVSfv0 ... re=related

I'm not saying that a crossbow couldn't possibly pierce a kevlar vest, but if it can, it'll be because of the shape of the projectile, and because much less kinetic energy is lost from the muzzle to the point of impact (bullets have their energy from speed, whereas crossbows have it to a much higher degree from weight, meaning that bullets lose much more energy than crossbows).

Anyway, as I said, I couldn't seem to headshot the heavies in singapore with the crossbow (but I did lack one damage upgrade before it was maxed), so are you sure its more powerful than the sniper?

And really, the tranquilizer rifle seemed to be far more powerful than the crossbow, seeing as you didn't need headshots for takedowns.

The only reason I would say the 10mm is less powerful than the tranquilizer is because of the lack of a scope, otherwise it's probably the best weapon in the game if you're good with headshots.

Pistols are always overpowered in these types of games.

In DX it was. In Alpha Protocol, it was. In System Shock II, it was. Apparently it's also in DX:HR. Which bodes well :D.
