By the way... this project has been put on hold until someone can help me with converting the models. : /

Re: Getting an invisible pickup model, need help
Thank god I'm past all of that confusing crap. Unr2de was giving me out of sequence errors because my objects were out of sequence. Go figure. When I pulled up the select by name list I saw something like 01, 03, 02. Either I selected things in the wrong order, or I didn't name my objects correctly,...

Re: DXE Updates
Regardless, I just hope that the old tutorials, documentation etc. from DXE can be accessed.
There was a lot of really useful DX modding information that you can't find anywhere else.

Re: If So, Why?
Is it wrong that I read ZeroPresence's posts with a New Orleans accent? But yeah, I think the ease - well, relative ease - of modding Deus Ex is one of the major reasons, but also the fact that DX is such a cult favorite. So many publications and gamers have deemed it the best game ever made. Natura...

Re: Getting an invisible pickup model, need help
Yeah, it's a Counter-Strike: Source skin from Gamebanana. I will get permission of course, before releasing any of these publicly. Glad I could be of help. Actually, once I get a weapon imported, animated and working in DX, I plan to make a full tutorial on just that. :D Once I can get rid of the "o...

Re: Getting an invisible pickup model, need help
Well shit, it shows up in MeshViewer. The textures are where they should be and everything. :? But again, when I try to convert it I get OBJ Colt02 out of sequence, although Colt01 imports flawlessly. I haven't even added most of the anims yet; I'm still just trying to get it to show up in game. Edi...

Re: Let's Play Deus Ex... Co-op.
The mismatch wouldn't happen if the person hosting the server has the S3TC textures. It's only a server/client mismatch - so because all DXMP servers are hosted using the original content, the client trying to connect with different content to that causes the problem. The guy making a similar mod f...

Re: Let's Play Deus Ex... Co-op.
Yeah, I noticed I wasn't using New Vision after recording. From now on though, we will be using it. S3TC textures did the trick. Still can't get HDTP to work though, which really sucks. Both players do hear the infolinks, but if you'll notice in the video, if it starts playing for two players at the...

Re: Getting an invisible pickup model, need help
I don't even know how to view meshes in UED. At one point, I got my weapon to show up but completely static, and it wasn't assigned the right textures.

Thanks! That will certainly be useful.Akerfeldt wrote:Deus Ex Extractor and DecompilerRain wrote:By the way, what was that program that allowed you to extract DX models?
And a bit of an update: Actually got a mesh to show up in game this time, but I'm still running into out of sequence errors with unr2de.

Let's Play Deus Ex... Co-op.
Thought I'd leave this here. Who better to enjoy a Deus Ex Let's Play? Co-op. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd9DTWNn75A My friend and I play through DX Cooperatively, or at least try to. It's riddled with hilarious bugs that can only be worked around with devious cheating! For instance, enemies don...

Re: Getting an invisible pickup model, need help
Never mind, figured it out.
Anyway, all of my bones, meshes and textures are out of sequence so my models are invisible. Go figure. Out of sequence... what does that even mean?

Re: ENB vs. DirectX 10
Fair point. I didn't know that! Rain, Can you send me the link to the ENB Dx10 Version thing you were using? It's actually just the ENB Series with S3TC enabled, making the New Vision stuff show up. :P But here's my ENB config if anyone wants it. Updated from the last screenshots. http://www.gamefr...
