And if not, can you defnitely NOT replicate this in vanilla?
Nope, no other mods, and duplicated both in vanilla. Quite interesting I never noticed either until now. Will have to play more.

My Dropbox just got suspended for "generating excessive traffic", which means it does seem people are downloading the HDTP installer build I did. I removed the link, as I need to quit offering it from there (they quit it for me, but still...).

If anyone wants to host it, please let me know, and throw the link up here.

They let anyone upload things to those pages? Or would I have to certify as an "approved party", or something like that before I could upload it?

Someone else managed to upload the three beta packages without DDL's permission I think. Try it, can't imagine DDL will mind. I haven't downloaded or tested your installer yet otherwise I would uploaded it for you.

Ggrotz, I confess, I have referenced your installer in the list of recommended mods to install w/ unifiedDeusEx, both on its ModDB website, and in the readme. I found it to be quite a nice installer; wouldn't it be better to host it elsewhere, rather than remove it?

Great! And yes I want it hosted elsehwere. Attempting to upload it to moddb as we speak.

Edit: Completed and saved. Hopefully, I didn't get anything too wrong with it and it can get linked over on the HDTP page.

Thanks, ggrotz! Can you please also link it (the ModDB download) from your OTP post?...that's the one I'm referencing from unifiedDeusEx materials.

They just graciously authorized it. Hope it works well:

Excellent! I just linked to it in my GMDX installation guide, so I hope too :)
Thanks again for your contributions, looking forward to your GMDX installer.
you just eliminated a demographic who would see the installation process and say "fuck that".

Actually...DDL replaced all the files in the old one, so you really don't need to download and install release 1 at all. As a note, I put the interesting remaining files he didn't replace (the desktop JPGs and Metche's credit file) into the install as well, so you shouldn't need release 1 at all. As a note, they put a demo/gallery map in release 1 that's supposed to show the old and new items together, but it doesn't work right with release 2 and you don't really NEED it anyway, so I dropped that one too.

So you can make it even easier than that.
